Shana - Contributing Editor More Bios
"I’m so excited to be a part of knowonder!™ magazine. Some of my most cherished memories are those of reading with my mom. I feel so blessed to be a part of a magazine that helps families connect with each other through reading. Families reading more and spending quality time together...it’s a win/ win in my book."
Shana Galbraith learned to love reading at an early age from her mother, who would read her bedtime stories such as The Boxcar Children, The Borrowers, and Harriet the Spy. When she was able to read for herself, she often stayed up late into the night devouring book after book. She found it quite ironic that the same mother who had encouraged her to read also told her to turn the lights off and go to bed. Most nights she can still be found reading well into the wee hours of the morning.
She discovered her passion for editing in high school when she was chosen as editor for the school’s literary magazine, The Zephyr. She couldn’t get enough of spelling corrections and sentence structure, and she even contributed a few original poems to the publication.
She later graduated from Ricks College with an Associates degree, and then decided to marry her college sweetheart and start a family. Just after the birth of her third child, she was inspired to try writing a novel of her own. Now she can not get enough of writing, and is hooked. She has contributed stories to knowonder!™ and is currently working on her first novel length piece.
She resides with her husband and 3 children in Sandy, UT where she enjoys running, knitting, writing, blogging, and reading with her children.
